I think they also realized they needed to have Shawn's secret be revealed to Juliet because it would be sociopathic of Shawn to lie about something that big to her - if she was just his girlfriend, or just the homicide detective that he worked closely with to solve grisly murders, then he could lie to her. But as soon as she became both, the writers realized she had to get in on his secret, but they didn't want it to screw with the main dynamics of the show, so It was pretty crappy.
Yeah, the lie had to come out at some point. I think he's funny, but revealed a few moments of romance in the episode where he was running for mayor.
Plus, Shawn has never been much of an actual romancer haha. But yeah, I guess they were spending time with it but at that point I would have rather seen a weak case revolving around an episode that solidly got them back together. Or an episode where both storylines are worked well, like mr yin and yang except happy emotions.
People break up and get back together AL the time. The course of true love ever did run smooth. This question is asked a lot, and it's rare that someone posts a complete answer, so here's what I've got. The ones you care about are probably the ones close to the bottom, but I figured I might as well be thorough. Jules asks Shawn out in , "An Evening with Mr. Yang", in the middle of his date with Abigail. Shawn almost tells Jules how he feels in , "Death Is in the Air", after she was exposed to a deadly virus, but chickens out. They got together in , "Extradition II: The Actual Extradition Part", after Shawn's motorcycle speech.
Gus found out at the end of , "In Plain Fright", when they're about to be killed. Lassiter finds out in , "Yang 3 in 2D", when he sees them kissing in the interrogation room. Also, they're both absolutely adorable.
They decide to live together in , "Juliet Takes a Lover", after Shawn walks in on his parents doing it. They officially break up and she asks him to move out in , "Turn Right or Left for Dead". Jules begins to understand Shawn's lies in , "Office SPACE", when she is unwillingly dragged into his process after they slept together for one night.
follow link They are working on the relationship in , "Dead Air", where they are beginning to spend more time together. They are officially back together by the end of , "Nip and Suck It", where Shawn informs Gus that they are back together shortly before we find out that Rachel broke up with Gus.
Thanks for posting this. I gotta say, the motorcycle speech is perhaps Shawn's best speech in the series and has always stuck with me. I don't think I've ever seen his character be more genuine and sincere than in that moment.
Shawn normally isn't an especially "sincere" guy, but somehow that scene managed to be so expressive without breaking away from the silliness of his usual character. But to me, nothing can compare to the chills I got during the lie detector scene.
Everything about that just felt amazing. There was never an official getting back together. Their breakup was handled more like a temporary separation that Shawn constantly fought against.
I think there was some offhand dialogue between Shawn and Gus a few episodes after "the breakup" in which Shawn says he moved back in. They were only broken up for like episodes. I think they got back together an episode or two after the one where Gus' boss dies. I think it is the episode before because I remember that episode starts with Gus knocking on Juliet's houses door to tell Shawn he's in trouble I don't know if they got back together officially as a couple that episode but she wasn't mad at him by the time Gus's boss is killed.
Yeah but Shawn was over there just for the night, and during that episode Juliet says it was a "one time thing" that happens and it doesn't mean they're back together yet. So I'm pretty sure they weren't officially back together until at least the next episode. I was confused, as well. I thought I had missed some crucial scene of them making up and deciding to get back together. There was the episode where Jules got the single white female roommate and her and Shawn were definitely broken up. He was standing outside her window replacing a broken window pane and she was talking to him through the window.
Next episode after that they were still broken up and then poof, they are back together with no explanation. I thought I missed an episode too bc my DVR has a habit of not recording, but that isn't the case.
It was really quick, though. In the first song, Gus mentions that Sean's lying to his girlfriend. The musical was originally supposed to air in the middle of season 7, sometime before "Deez Nups" Lassie's wedding episode so the timeline is sort of off. In the musical I think they also mention that Lassiter's engaged but not yet married. We can thank USA for screwing up the timeline.
Juliet O'Hara first appears undercover in the show's second episode, "Spellingg Bee", as a recently transferred junior detective from Miami Beach where she attended the University of Miami , replacing Lucinda Barry as Head Detective Carlton Lassiter 's partner. Born in , she was raised in a family of brothers and is shown to be close with both her parents and her siblings. Juliet seems to present a gentle counterpoint to Lassiter's gruff, rigid style. She reminds her partner repeatedly to "be sensitive" with the media, the victims, and the witnesses of their cases.
Unlike Lassiter, she is friendly with Shawn Spencer and more willing to work with him and Burton Guster. Lawson says that, although Juliet is bemused by Shawn at first, she has slowly gained respect for him and by the second season, Juliet reveals a "very friendly, comfortable relationship". By the end of the fifth season, Shawn and Juliet are romantically involved. By the middle of the sixth season, Shawn is ready for marriage.
Her older brother Ewan, played by John Cena , is an army soldier whom she had to arrest when he attempted to murder an actual killer to protect the army. Ewan was supposed to go to prison but his high level bosses made him vanish.
